About Danica

Ms. Lehmann graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Leo University with a B.A. in Counseling Psychology. She received her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Sarasota University and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. Ms. Lehmann completed her Master Certificate in Traumatology through the International Traumatology Institute at the University of South Florida. As a Qualified Clinical Supervisor, Ms. Lehmann provides clinical supervision to Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns seeking licensure.

Ms. Lehmann has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. Her clinical skills have successfully served specialized populations including those surviving sexual, physical, and psychological trauma, therapist abuse and maltreatment, individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, mood disorders, self-injurious behaviors, compassion fatigue, pet grief & loss, and gender identity issues.

Clinical approaches utilized include rapid resolution techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Energy Systems Psychology, Client-Centered, and Cognitive-Behavior theories, and integrative family animal companion treatment.

Her therapy dog, Bella, can often be found accompanying her.
