About Carly

There are a multitude of reasons that you may be searching for a therapist. Whether you are overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety or depression, struggling with managing relationships with family members and friends, or facing triggers for past traumatic experiences, you’ve come to the right place.

Working with others to assist them in finding peace and healing from adverse life experiences has been my passion for as long as I can remember.  I began my journey in the counseling field by providing therapeutic services to children involved in the child welfare system.

As time has progressed, I have transitioned to working with the entire family system to find resolutions and overcome the unique challenges each individual faces. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families as whole.

I primarily offer therapeutic services for attachment disorders, stress management, anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, PTSD and trauma disorders, childhood abuse and neglect, healthy social development, and intrafamilial conflict. I also have clinical experience working with both children and families that are currently/have been involved with the foster care system.

I firmly believe there is no one-size fits all approach to treatment, which is why my approaches are diverse and change to fit what is most successful for each individual. I prioritize collaboration with my clients to develop a plan that will empower each individual to achieve their therapeutic goals.

My primary clinical approaches utilized include rapid resolution trauma techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioral theories, Solution-Focused theories, and client centered approaches. I also integrate play therapy techniques while working with children and adolescents.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Social Work degree followed by my Master of Social Work Degree.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling,  playing with my two rescue dogs, reading, spending time with my family, cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning!
